Well as always in life things change - and yesterday decided to do the whole thing the wrong way round. Now theres a title for a tv show/dvd/book/anything else you can think of! I wonder if I could get a couple of celebs to come with me??????
Started final planning this weekend - scanning of maps, sorting out a toolkit, even bought a ’super absorbent quick drying & lightweight’ towel (well thats what it says on the little stuff bag it comes in!)

Well this morning started out looking like a good day - but it didnt take long for the weather to change (dull, damp and raining)
Got some more things sorted out though. Set of spare spark plugs, a bulb kit, a few ear plugs (but hoping i shouldnt need em as ive got mp3 mode & gps directions to listen to).
Still could do with getting the bike booked in for a bit of a service before lift off!
Also decided to do the whole thing the wrong way round!!!! So now heading off through France to Spain and then onto Italy! Hey why not throw a curve ball in at the last minute
keeps you on your toes

Managed to break the end of mi break leaver a while back, so over the weekend thought it was about time I started thinking about getting it sorted. Aprilia are not noted for their super fast delivery of parts, (read any forum posings!) so thought id just see if I could get a un-branded one. To be honest thoughts of a six week wait had already started to buzz round my head
Went to Manhattan Motorbikes in Sheffield totally on the off chance. And there it was - not originally designed for the Caponord, but a perfect fit and all for £15 and that included fitting!!!!!!! What a service
Cant remember the exact number of the part, but im sure the bloke there will remember cos he was a tad impressed - www.manhattan-motorcycles.co.uk

Had a bit of a trip to J&S in Doncaster today - much bigger and better than the one near Nottingham (and loads closer!)
Ended up (after quite a bit of umming and ahhhing) buying a new jacket and trollies. A Frank Thomas Senegal, bit like the BMW rally2 setup, but loads cheaper, well actually loads and loads cheaper (and cheap is always nice!)

Managed to get a couple of orders for t-shirts so thats about 2 notes towards the trip
Bit of a weather update - its foggy, wet and grey
